One of the biggest advantages of the VTAB1008 is obviously its’ affordable price. When compared with other tablets and iPad, the current price range of the VTAB provides a good value with minimum investment.
VTAB also comes with the 30 to 90 day free trial versions of popular applications like Hulupus (which allows you to view hundreds of TV shows), Nook (online book store), ooVoo (the video chat feature) and Netflix (which requires unlimited streaming membership).
The general hardware quality is more than decent and the screen resolution and display quality is top-notch, which is something you would hardly expect from this price segment. As we have mentioned, the orientation sensitive speaker system also provides quality audio. There are three built-in speakers in VTAB and two of those speakers will operate and provide a flawless audio experience depending on the orientation (landscape or portrait) of the tablet.
You can also use the Vizio VTAB as a universal remote to control most of the electronic devices at home thanks to its’ IR Blaster feature. One of the minor problems encountered with the Vizio VTAB is that it has a relatively long recharge cycle. Once the battery is empty, you can fully recharge it in 8 hours. However, this problem can be easily solved by simply plugging the tablet in at night before you go to sleep so that it can be fully recharged until the next morning without you even noticing it.
You can also encounter some software glitches when you use the VTAB, but this is hardly a con of the device since any software you will use on the device will be designed for all Android tablets regardless of their brands or models. Any application glitch will be the responsibility of the application provider and not the hardware manufacturer.
